It depends a a few things: 1) Were you wearing a dress? 2) If so were you able to keep your legs together? 3) Did you go head first or feet first? 4)Did you fall from the top of the stairs to the bottom or just a few steps? 5) Was there any blood at the scene? 6) Did you swear? 7) Did anyone see you?
Get back with to me with your answers and then I'll let you know if it was funny or not.
It's a little funny. If you were hurt, then I'd just kind of push back the initial smile and chuckle and feel bad. Then later I'd laugh cuz I know you're tough and you "walked it off."
Back ages ago when Karen and I were young marrieds (Holly was just born and young one), we lived at your Grandma Hattie's home. We were heading (walking in the ice and snow) to BYU campus (via the steep concrete stairs on the South side of campus). A young male college student with a crap load of papers (or did he just have a briefcase?) flew by us and promptly slipped and fell on those stairs. We both thought it was funny at the time (we still laugh about it after all of these years, but I don't recall laughing in his presence). Sometimes things that are surprising become funny (as you reminisce) in time...

Funny, until I found out you were hurt!! I am one to laugh when anyone falls or trips. (mean I know)
Depends on how many pre-teens were there running around being really loud and happened to see the old lady fall down the stairs.
But really -
Not funny. those stairs are not made out of marshmallows. I hope you didn't get seriously hurt.
Coming from someone who is very clumsy and has fallen in very public places I would have to say a big NO!!!

Okay, it wasn't funny for you, but think of some stranger who may have witnessed it. That's funny. But not for you OR me. But for them.
What happened? I think we'd all like to know.
Funny. As long as you were able to stand up again and shake it off.
NOT funny if you have to visit the doctor or are in some kind of cast.
p.s. I fell in the middle of IKEA in front of a ton of people, so I know from funny.

I would laugh and then feel bad if you were hurt. And then I would laugh about it again.

Not funny - I've been in your shoes, and I would say a big NO too!
